NFC Information
NFC is a new wireless consumer electronics technology created by members of the NFC Forum.
It enables devices to interact with RFID tags (such as the Type 1 tag provided by Innovision) and also act as an RFID tag (the phone could be your payment card). NFC is compatible with existing standards such as ISO 14443 which mean that NFC solutions will be technically compatible with legacy contactless infrastructure.
The Nokia 6131 NFC has in-built software to do some rudimentary NFC functions such as read/write URLs and contact information on to tags. More flexibility can be gained by using the J2ME SDK from Nokia.
